  Mrs Brown's Boys will be returning for six episodes in 2023, creator Brendan O’Carroll has revealed. He said the BBC originally wanted a four-part mini-series this year as part of the celebrations for the Corporation’s centenary. But he said he had trouble booking studio space, which was suddenly in demand when Covid restrictions were lifted. So he is now planning to make them next year, along with   two more Christmas specials for 2023, too.
