Mrs Browns Boys Series 4 Coming Soon!

  Mrs Brown's Boys will be returning for six episodes in 2023, creator Brendan O’Carroll has revealed. He said the BBC originally wanted a four-part mini-series this year as part of the celebrations for the Corporation’s centenary. But he said he had trouble booking studio space, which was suddenly in demand when Covid restrictions were lifted. So he is now planning to make them next year, along with   two more Christmas specials for 2023, too. He told The Sun’s TV mag: ‘The BBC were adamant that they wanted to get four episodes, so we thought: "Let's book studios now for 2023 and we can do the four then". ‘We’re hoping to do the four-part mini-series of Mrs Brown and then two more Christmas specials at the end of the year as well. Brendan O'Carroll's comedy show has faced major criticism over the last few years. Last year's Christmas special left many viewers raging with some viewers saying the show needed to be axed. The New Year's Day special received similar feedback from viewers who slammed the show as "unfunny and smutty". The episode followed Agnes Brown, played by O'Carroll, waiting for the valuation of an antique vase which has been in the family for years while Buster and Dermot were convinced that Cathy's boyfriend Boris was a vampire.
